Metamorphosis and The Cross

The transfiguration of Jesus, or metamorphosis, revealed who He is: the fulfillment of the Law and Prophets, the Son of God, the Chosen and Anointed One, the Word who became flesh and "tabernacled" among us.
In the same way Jesus' transfiguration was marked by His death on the cross, our transformation is marked by daily picking up our cross; following the Messiah through death into life. (Luke 9:18-36)
