Beware of The Scribes

As Jesus ends His public ministry to speak privately to His disciples, He leaves the people with a warning: to beware the Scribes. The Scribes were professional writers concerned with the Torah and were meant to shepherd God’s people. In this passage, we see how these leaders have failed in their mission. Even if we are exposed to God’s Word, we can still miss God and His intentions entirely. Be careful to not do this, as the Scribes have done.
