Practical Christianity

Today we focus on the obedience in working out our salvation. This is not to say we are trying to earn salvation as if Jesus' death and resurrection were not enough to pay for our sins and take away the wrath of God from us; no, this is so that we as believers grow in our sanctification process. We are to be in the sin-killing business, within ourselves and united as the church. We should not be like the world in their sin. This putting sin to death can only be done by, thru, and with God. We may not always understand the "why" to a command, but inevitably if God calls us to obey, we must.
Big Idea:
When we work out our salvation in obedience, it confirms that we are children of God.
