deaconesses

This year, the Deaconess Ministry has continued to embody the heart of Christ through service, compassion, and faithful support of our church family. Rooted in the example of faithful women like Phoebe, Dorcas, and the women of 1 Timothy 3:11, we have sought to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing comfort, nourishment, and encouragement to those in need.

Sister Terry has been a blessing preparing bible studies for the monthly Ladies Time Of Renewal:

“I love the ladies, LTR. The speakers are great and spiritual. Togetherness is so refreshing.” -Cathy C.

“Attending LTR has been one of the events for women of our church to look forward to each month. It not only has given me a better understanding of God’s word and its application to daily living, but also the fellowship has been encouraging. I’ve had the pleasure to meet new attendees recently and it has been very uplifiting to know that we are not alone in our faith journey, especially when we have the opportunity to pray for one another” M.P.
As a ministry, we have been privileged to walk alongside families during both moments of joy and seasons of sorrow. This year, we launched multiple Meal Trains to support families welcoming new life into their homes, ensuring they were nourished and cared for as they adjusted to this beautiful new chapter. We also came together to provide meals, prayer, and presence for families grieving the loss of loved ones. In these tender moments, our mission was not just to provide physical sustenance but also to offer spiritual encouragement and comfort, reminding them that they are never alone.
Beyond meal trains, the Deaconess Ministry remained active in other areas of service, including:
  • Prayer & Visitation: Visiting and praying with those who were sick, homebound, or facing life’s challenges, reminding them of God’s presence and faithfulness.
  • Encouragement & Fellowship: Sending cards, making calls, and organizing LTR gatherings to uplift and strengthen our sisters in Christ.
  • Acts of Kindness: Providing practical assistance to families in need, whether through childcare support, household help, or other services that reflect the love of Christ.
In the coming year, our vision is to expand our reach and deepen our impact through:
  • Strengthening our meal train and care ministry to ensure that every family in need receives support.
  • Developing a support system for new mothers that includes mentorship, encouragement, and practical assistance, one on one discipleship.
  • Hosting women's gatherings and event to refresh and equip women serving in ministry.
  • Continuing to serve with excellence, reflecting Christ in every act of love and kindness.

next level women

Next Level Women is a group of women committed to journeying together in seeking God by following a structured program of spiritual disciplines. The core spiritual disciplines include Bible reading, Bible meditation, Bible memorization, reading Christian books for spiritual growth, and prayer. Pray that we will continually seek the Lord as we study the Bible and that the Holy Spirit will guide and teach us through books that will edify and encourage us in our walk to glorify the Lord.
What an amazing year! We had four groups in Next Level Women learning about God’s attributes, studying, and meditating on the Word of God. Graduation was incredible, with women sharing what the Lord has done in their lives and how He has transformed them. Simply amazing!

Our Christmas celebration was a time of sharing, caring, and selecting goals for the new year. We look forward to having four new groups that will be enriched by the Lord.

BOOK Club

The book club has read some tremendous books this year. We started with Tessa Afshar’s Harvest of Rubies and ended with Daughter of Rome. These books are historical fiction with biblical principles woven into the story. We had great discussions and look forward to the new year. We will begin the year with a nonfiction title: Fractured Faith by Lina AbuJamra. If you enjoy reading and engaging in excellent conversations, join us!
