We live in a world where we have to watch out for counterfeits. There’s counterfeit money, counterfeit brand name merchandise, counterfeit art, counterfeit jewelry. Counterfeits not only deceive us but can be very dangerous.

There’s another more dangerous kind of counterfeit that the scriptures warn us about, and that is Counterfeit Christianity. Counterfeit Christianity is not only detrimental to one’s life here and now, but it can lead a person to hell. Yet many churches are offering it, and many Christians are falling for it.

Counterfeit Christianity has a form of beauty, but it’s powerless to bring real, lasting, and eternal change. In this message, we contrast from the text the marks of a faithful ambassador with the marks of a false professor.
