Trusting God's Providence on the Road to Obedience
So far in our series, we’ve learned that Naomi’s family’s road to Moab was a dead-end road. The road they traveled was a road of expedience, not obedience. They left Bethlehem full of family and their own plans, and ten years later, Naomi came back empty.
But when Naomi made a faith decision to leave Moab for Bethlehem, she left empty and ended up full. When Naomi accompanied by Ruth left Moab for Bethlehem, they walked by faith, not by sight. And they discovered along the way that where God guides, He provides.
The main theme of the message is as follows: When we choose the path of obedience to God, we can trust the providence of God to be at work in our lives to accomplish His good plan.
To unfold this theme, we examine 3 ways that Naomi and Ruth experienced the providence of God at work in their lives to accomplish His redemptive purposes.
